Cheryl Burke and Cody Rigsby ready to return to Dancing with the Stars ballroom after COVID battles

Cheryl Burke and Cody Rigsby are ready to return to the ballroom for Monday’s edition of Dancing with the Stars, after both tested positive for breakthrough cases of COVID-19 weeks back.

The 37-year-old pro dancer and the Peloton star, 34, have both been under quarantine since they each tested positive, and performed a remote routine in their absence.

The San Francisco-born beauty took to Instagram Saturday with a shot alongside Rigsby as they practiced for the show’s Disney-themed week in a dance studio ahead of the upcoming return.

The Dancing with the Stars professional captioned the shot, ‘Reunited and it feels so good!’

In the shot, Burke donned a Minnie Mouse ears with a black top and sweats as she posed alongside Rigsby, who wore a Disney-themed coat over an all-black ensemble with a Goofy hat.

Burke praised Rigsby for his discipline and work ethic in a clip filmed Sunday, saying ‘he would not stop working’ via their Zoom sessions.

Burke initially revealed she had tested positive for COVID-19 September 27, with Rigsby testing positive days later. The pair competed on last week’s episode in a remote appearance, in which they earned 18 out of 30 points to a jazz rendition of Britney Spears’ Gimme More.

On her Instagram Thursday, Burke announced she had ‘been officially cleared’ to make her way back to the show after her quarantine was finished.

‘I am back to normal,’ she said. ‘No more quarantine for me.’

Burke said she was grateful for her health and Rigsby’s, and for all of the support from fans amid the difficult time.

‘It’s been truly an emotional rollercoaster, but wouldn’t have been able to get through it without all of you guys and all of your support,’ she said. ‘I am just happy that Cody is okay, and we’re still rehearsing via Zoom as we speak.
