Cheryl Burke and Cody Rigsby return to DWTS for the FIRST TIME since contracting COVID-19 last month

Cheryl Burke and her partner Cody Rigsby were seen returning to rehearsal for Dancing With The Stars on Friday afternoon in Los Angeles.

Their return marks their first practice in person since they both contracted COVID-19 last month, which prevented them from stepping foot in the DWTS studio until they fully recovered the past few weeks.

After quarantining and performing virtually from home, the duo looked eager to finally practice their choreography in the same room again.

In the quick video appearance the San Francisco native looked beautiful wearing a green off-the-shoulder number as she spoke to her supporters.

The two-time DWTS winner clipped a small portion of her wavy brunette hair back, while letting the majority of it flow freely as it fell over her shoulders.

Burke sported a trio of necklaces around her neck, each with thin, delicate chains and drop pendants, including one with a diamond-encrusted cross.

Rigsby tested positive four days after she did, leaving him in isolation until Friday.

‘Unfortunately, Cody is still in quarantine, but he will be back in Los Angeles starting Friday, which means we can technically dance on both Monday and Tuesday,’ Burke added in the clip.

‘I’m grateful that we’re healthy. Thank you guys for all your support over the past week-and-a-half or ten days. It’s been truly an emotional rollercoaster, but wouldn’t have been able to get through it without all of you guys and all of your support,’ the 5ft4in performer said, continuing her message.

‘I am just happy that Cody is okay. And we’re still rehearsing via Zoom as we speak,’ she assured viewers.

The recording was finished with the series veteran saying, ‘We’ve got lots of work to do. We’re definitely going to need your votes – put it that way. Okay, back to work.’

In her caption she implored fans to vote for the couple. ‘@codyrigsby and I are going to REALLY need your votes, #boocrew! So please, please get all of your friends ready to vote! #dwts #dwts30,’ Cheryl wrote.

Earlier this week the duo made history as the first competitors to dance not only virtually, but separately.

They rocked the 30th season of DWTS when they broke the news of their diagnoses the first week of October.

‘I just want to let everyone know that even though my partner and I have COVID, which I feel still so bad about, I’m just so happy that we are both feeling good. We are going to still dance on Monday. But we’re going to do it remote, and we’re going to be doing it from the comfort of our own home,’ Burke told Good Morning America at the time.

From their homes, they managed to score 18 out of 30 points for their routine this week.

Days ago, the partners spoke about the ABC program on the dance professional’s Pretty Messed Up podcast.

In the caption Burke gushed about the ‘amazing’ support they received from the show’s cast during their ‘whirlwind week.’

Reflecting back on their score during the episode she said, ‘We basically have only gotten sixes since we started Dancing with the Stars, which is fine, I get it, but I think what I was looking for was a little bit of acknowledgement of what we did in order to make this whole production work.’

The mentor then added that Rigsby deserved ‘extra credit’ and called the results ‘anticlimactic.’

The two will return to the ballroom next Monday and Tuesday.
