The Abia State Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu, has said that the state government will construct more 200 kilometers of road before leaving office in 2023.

Chief Okiyi Kalu who disclosed this while featuring in a radio program today in Umuahia said the Osisioma Flyover will be completed and commissioned by December this year and pointed out that the new list of commissioner nominees comprises experienced and youthful Abians who will help to drive the programs of the state government to a sound conclusion.

The Abia Information Boss, while reacting to the reoccuring sit-at-home order said it is impacting negatively on the education of children and economy of the entire southeast region.

On a positive note, he revealed that all Abia children took their exams safely during the sit-at-home period courtesy of the relentless efforts of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu to ensure same.

He advised Ndigbo to remember who they are, adding that Ndigbo have one of their greatest strengths in education which guarantees a winning future for them and stressed the need for Abians to go about their normal business on Mondays, as on any other day, without fear of molestation.

Chief Okiyi Kalu while also commenting on the lingering fuel crisis urged the people to exercise patience while the matter was being resolved by the parties involved and wondered why the problem between NUPENG and a neighbouring state government should be used to punish the masses who are now suffering what they know nothing about.
