She said: ‘Because there were four it was unimaginable. Ollie went through a lot of things as well and you don’t always think about the men… It’s a big, huge thing and a lot more needs to be done about it with the doctors and hospital side as well’.

Jorgie also revealed that they are not trying for a baby after their devastating loss but when the time comes all they want is a healthy baby.

Back in November, Jorgie revealed she was ‘in shock’ when doctors revealed she was expecting four babies in May, before learning she’d miscarried at 14 weeks.

What is a missed miscarriage?

A missed miscarriage, also known as a missed abortion or a silent miscarriage, occurs when a foetus dies, but the body does not recognise the pregnancy loss or expel the pregnancy tissue.

As a result, the placenta may still continue to release hormones, so the woman may continue to experience signs of pregnancy.

It’s usually diagnosed during a routine checkup, where the doctor will fail to detect a heartbeat. A subsequent ultrasound will show an underdeveloped foetus.

Since then, the soap star had to undergo weekly scans to check the progress of her pregnancy with Jorgie explaining their initial joy soon turned to worry.

She explained: ‘It was so stressful. I wanted to believe everything was going to be OK, but I was scared because I knew the risks. At every scan, we’d have the same worry – do they have heartbeats? I was going through so many emotions.

‘I was carrying four babies, but didn’t know if they’d survive. Whenever I was around anyone who knew me well, I felt the need to go: ‘I need a hug.’ It was like I needed people to carry me emotionally.’

The couple were later left devastated when during a 14-week scan, they learned that there was no signs of life in any of the embryo sacs, with Jorgie having suffered a missed miscarriage.

The actress recalled: ‘It didn’t make sense. I’d not had any sign that things weren’t OK. No pain or bleeding, I was getting bigger, my boobs were growing, I had so much hair on my body and I still felt pregnant. When the consultant performed the scan then said: “You’ve miscarried”, I was in total shock.’
