Lana Del Rey shares a 90s throwback with Lindsay Lohan of them modeling for Abercrombie

Lana Del Rey returned to Instagram after a brief social media hiatus to post a throwback photo with Lindsay Lohan from their modeling days.

In the 36-year-old’s Summertime Sadness singer’s latest post, she can be seen as a young teen rocking a black vest and flannel button-down as she held onto a soccer ball for an Abercrombie campaign.

Meanwhile, her redheaded pal, who had already risen to fame playing twin sisters in The Parent Trap, wore an open plaid shirt and green blouse.

The sweet image was plastered on the popular teen brand’s bags in the 1990s, before either of them became household names.

The six-time Grammy nominee’s post came as a bit of surprise to her fans as she announced she would be quitting social media in September.

‘Hi, guys. I just wanted to let you know that tomorrow we are going to be deactivating our social media accounts, my social media accounts,’ she said in a video via Instagram. ‘That is simply because I have so many other interests and other jobs I’m doing that require privacy and transparency.’

She continued: ‘I’m still very present and love what I do. I’m absolutely out here for the music and that I’m also just going on some different endeavors.’

‘For right now, I think I’m going to just keep my circle a little bit closer and continue to develop some other skills and interests,’ she explained.

The High by the Beach artist said to more than 20 million Instagram followers that she will be working on music, spoken word and poetry projects.

The performer also noted that she’s ‘always here making lots of records and in the meantime living life’ and had ‘always enjoyed sharing all these very small tidbits with you’ via social media.
