‘They’re even bigger kids than [the younger cast members] on set in terms of their energy,’ he shared of the seasoned actors.

‘If anything, I think the younger group were more serious and more like, ”oh, we need to be professional because we don’t know if we’re going to get fired,” he said.

Elsewhere, the Filipino-Canadian actor noted that he felt very comfortable working with big-name stars in a judgement-free space.

‘They were so much more relaxed, and they were able to give that energy to us, which made for an incredible familial dynamic,’ he said.

Nine Perfect Strangers was filmed in Byron Bay this time last year under strict Covid safety measures, including regular testing for cast and crew members.

The Sunday Telegraph previously reported that production was called off in the US last year as the country continued to battle the Covid-19 pandemic.

Nicole then made the decision to relocate filming for the limited series to Australia.

‘We were fully supported by all of the actors and the government and we were able to still get the show made instead of having to shut it down, which was the other possibility,’ she explained.

‘For me it was the ability to get the show made… We hadn’t really finalised the location so we were still kind of trying to find the right spot and we couldn’t find it. And then suddenly the possibility of shooting in Byron Bay became available,’ she said.
