Sharon Stone has been cast as a reoccurring cast member in season two of The Flight Attendant. 

The 63-year-old actress and former model will star as Lisa Bowden, the mother to Kaley Cuoco’s character Cassie. 

The first season of the HBO Max hit show showcased a heartbreaking relationship between Cassie and her late father.

According to Deadline, Lisa is estranged from Cassie and wants to stay away from her daughter due to her alcoholism.

The Flight Attendant is shooting the new season in Los Angeles, Berlin and Reykjavik. Some returning cast members are Zosia Mamet, Griffin Matthews, Deniz Akdeniz and Rosie Perez. 

In season two, Cassie is living in Los Angeles and is staying sober while doing some side work for the CIA. But when overseas she sees a murder that unravels her.

The premiering season received nine Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Comedy Series and Lead Actress for Kaley, who stars as Cassie.  

Stone’s TV work includes Ratched, Mosaic, The New Pope and The Practice.

Sharon was born and raised in Meadville, a small town in Pennsylvania. In 1980, she made her acting debut in woody Allen’s Stardust Memories. 

Her kick off to fame was her role as Lori Quaid in Paul Verhoeven’s Total Recall in 1990. 

The 1992 film Basic Instinct made her a household name.

And in 1995, Sharon’s role in The Casino earned her an Oscar nomination and a Golden Globe win.

The Casino star married her first husband, writer and producer Michael Greenburg, in 1984 but ended up divorcing three years later. Sharon went on to marry journalist Phil Bronstein in 1998 before divorcing in 2004. 

The couple tried to have children naturally, but the mother-of-three suffered two miscarriages, five months into each term. By the second pregnancy, Sharon decided to adopt.   

Sharon raises her three sons, Roan, 21, Quinn, 15, and Laird, 16, as a single mother.
