The 11 minute short film comes from Belgian animated filmmaker Mathieu Georis. It’s a story close to the director’s heart, harking back to his boyhood days when he was in the scouts. He was forging through woodlands/forest and was needing to pee, in front of him was a slug…he couldn’t oee in front of it.

When it comes to the great big outdoors for kids, its amazing explortary world waiting for them to discover. They do it with a carefree attitude, discover those new things without prejudice. It’s the time of our lives we make easily, but we’re needing to pee we find it ’embarassing’  in front of fellow scouts or even insects or other animals. The numbers in the film’s title reflect how long Mathieu  feels like he’s holding onto until he can pee.

Evocative, goreous animation created using glass painting with monochromatic colours. The no dialogue film with only the organic sounds of nature really set the tone for this brilliant little film.
