It’s no secret that rapid antigen tests (RATs) are one of Australia’s most in-demand commodities at the moment due to the nationwide shortage.

And The Bachelor‘s Florence Moerenhout could be the latest entrepreneur to profit from the country’s insatiable desire for quick and easy Covid test results.

The Dutch bombshell, 29, who spent the past two years living in the Netherlands during Australia’s Covid lockdown, revealed on Monday she was preparing return Down Under with a suitcase of RATs.

In Australia, RATs usually retail for $25 for two or $50 for a pack of five, and can be purchased in pharmacies.

But due to extreme shortages, many shops are out of stock and some unscrupulous sellers are taking advantage of the demand by selling individual tests for up to $100.

Florence went on to explain to her fans living in the Netherlands – where RATs have been provided by the government for free since July 2021 – why she was bringing so many tests with her Down Under.
