The newly inaugurated President of Ikeja Viva L’amour Lions Club, Judith Akapo, has emphasised on the continuous service to humanity for sustainable growth.
According to her, she said the country was plagued with problems of inflation, environmental disasters, poor health services, food crisis, climate change amongst other problems.
Akapo made this statement during her inauguration as the 17th president of the Ikeja Viva L’amour Lions Club, recently held in Lagos.
In her acceptance speech, “As Lions we care about our communities, especially in areas such as welfare, health, profession, trade and its progress; as Lions we do not delay or turn the other eye or wait for regressive conditions to be solved by government or others but feel the pains, emphathise and are prepared to serve our communities, nation and the world selflessly and relentlessly.”
Part of her goal, she said, was to execute 22 projects worth N30m within 12 months of her tenure as president of Ikeja Viva L’amour Lions Club in 2022-2023 Lions service year and in line with the Lions Clubs International and District 404B2 Nigeria projects.
