BBNaija’s Eric issues statement over alleged arrest in the UK; threatens legal action

Big Brother Naija reality star Eric Akhigbe has issued a statement addressing his alleged arrest in the United Kingdom, UK.

Some media reports on Tuesday claimed the Lockdown housemate was arrested for scamming people after promising them BBNaija slots.

It was alleged that Eric had been collecting money from unsuspecting and aspiring Big Brother Naija housemates but failed to get them into the reality show.

Speaking in a statement shared on Instagram, Eric who earlier locked his comments section, denied the allegation and threatened to take legal action against those spreading false information about him. He wrote:

“My legal team and have been alerted on an article posted today on @pulsenigeria247 defaming my character and telling lies about my alleged arrest in the UK which are totally false. I was not arrested in the UK, they are all lies.

“My legal team is taking all actions on reaching out to the appropriate blog to correct the misconception they have created in the minds of the general public or face legal action.”

Eric contested in the 5th edition of the reality show alongside Dorathy Bachor, Erica Nlewedim, Ozo, Neo, Vee, Ka3na Jones, Lilo, Prince, Nengi, Tochi, Praise, Kiddwaya and BBNaija winner Laycon.
