Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo recently hosted female colleagues Omoni Oboli and Chioma Akpotha in his mansion following the latters’ unpleasant experiences on election day.
Saturday, February 25, marked an important day in Nigeria’s democracy as Alex, Chioma, Omoni and other popular figures in the entertainment industry took breaks from their busy work schedules to carry out their civic responsibilities.
Omoni, alongside some other colleagues, took it upon themselves to coordinate other electorates while awaiting INEC officials.
She made sure to wait into the night as she monitored the manual uploading of the results at the polling unit.
WITHIN NIGERIA earlier reported that Chioma Akpotha went through a traumatic experience at her polling unit on election day when thugs stormed the area to disrupt the voting process.
Feeling traumatized, Chioma came out to share the face of a woman who assaulted her and tried to collect her phone while she was on live video.
In a new video sighted on Alex’s page, the Actor was captured humorously hailing Chioma as Nigeria’s hero of Democracy.
He went on to also commend Omoni Oboli for flying all the way from Canada to exercise her right to vote like many other Nigerian citizens.
Alex also served the ladies variety of meals in his home.
