Frederick Leonard reacts to EFCC’s arrest of scammer who impersonated him

Nigerian film actor Frederick Leonard has reacted to the arrest of a scammer who impersonated him and scammed a woman of N104m.

The imposter identified as Kelvin Aisosa Orhue was arrested by the EFCC and arraigned before the FCT High Court in Kuje. He is said to have duped a lady, called Cheryldene Cook of N104 million while using Frederick Lenoard’s identity.

The imposter has pleaded guilty and was also convicted and sentenced to one-year imprisonment with the option of paying a fine of N1,000,000 (one million Naira) only.

Sharing the news, Frederick took to his page and wrote:

Still on impersonation, WITHIN NIGERIA recalls a man was also sent to prison for impersonating popular Nollywood actor, Bolanle Ninalowo aka Nino B.

On Friday, February 17, 2023, Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court sitting in Warri, convicted and sentenced the man, Omoghan Destiny Igbinosa, to prison on separate one count charge of impersonation and obtaining by false pretence, just months after the actor cried out about it.
