Popular Yoruba Actress, Mide Martins has marked the 21-year remembrance of her late mother and movie veteran, Funmilayo Martins.
The Nollywood star, via Instagram, shared a video from the ceremony that was graced by some of her colleagues in the industry.
The clip captured moment Mide and hubby, Actor Afeez Owo held a prayer session in memory of their parents.
Spotted at the event are Lagos State Parks Chairman MC Oluomo, Olaiya Igwe Adebayo Tijani, Ijebu, Saka amongst others.
Paying tribute to her late mother, Mide Martins prayed for her beautiful soul to keep resting in peace.
“Rest on my mama!! 21 years remembrance of late Funmi Martins. May your beautiful soul continue to be in peace. You will forever remain alive in our hearts. Oluwafunmilayo Florence Anike Martins. Love you till eternity, my mother”.

Late Funmi Martins died of Cardiac arrest on 6 May 2002 at the age of 38 years.
In 1993, she starred in her first movie called Nemesis directed by Fidelis Duker. During her rather short-lived career, Funmi Martins managed to star in dozens of movies. Some of her most notable works include Eto Mi, Pelumi, Ija Omode, Eru Eleru and many others.
Her first Yoruba movie was done under the tutelage of veteran actor, Alhaji Adebayo Salami popularly known as Oga Bello.
However, two weeks before her death, she was on location in Ikorodu, Lagos, working on Antar Laniyan’s movie, Aduro Ti Oluwa. She was described as one of the few actresses at that time who could act in both Yoruba and English movies flawlessly with so much professionalism.
