Septem Paints advocates backward integration

Septem Paints, a subsidiary of Eleganza Group, has proposed embracing backward integration in the production process as a strategic move to overcome the current challenging business climate.

The firm’s Managing Director, Tunde Okoya, stated this on Thursday during a painters’ forum organised to unveil the company’s products to key industry players.

Okoya said, “We are a subsidiary of Eleganza Industries, and there is one thing we say — your name is your guarantee. We have an ethos, a passion and an addiction to quality. So, every time we get into the market, it is our focus to differentiate ourselves through the products that we manufacture.

“It is always a continuous improvement. The destination is to always produce the highest quality paints at affordable prices.”

The company’s Production Manager, Blessing Serekara, said the company deemed it fit to organise the painters’ forum in order to acquaint the painters with the quality of the product.

According to him, many of the leading paint brands in the country are either foreign brands or indigenous companies led by foreigners, which informed the company to position itself as a unique African brand capable of competing with the leading products in the market.

The General Manager of Sales and Marketing, Segun Thompson, expressed optimism that the brand would fill a ‘need gap’ in the market, which is currently vacant in the marketplace.

The flagship products unveiled included the economy, standard and premium products.
