Uche Maduagwu, Nigerian actor known for stirring up controversies, has unreservedly shared his feelings of disappointment towards his esteemed senior colleague, Pete Edochie, for his controversial remarks about female actresses during a recent interview.
Edochie recently spoke about the spate of failed marriages in Nollywood in a recent chat on the ‘WithChude’ podcast.
He made reference to Chioma Akpotha, Ireti Doyle and Tonto Dikeh’s failed marriages.
The 76-year-old actor said most women make the mistake of thinking that the grass is greener on the other side.
Pete also spoke in proverbs about his son, Yul Edochie’s marital saga.
In the snippet Chude shared on TikTok, Pete said, “He who fetches ant-infested firewood, should be ready to host the lizards for a feast”.
Uche Maduagwu expressed frustration with Pete’s reluctance to discuss and shed light on Yul’s marital issues, non-challant attitude while mourning his Kambilichuckwu’s demise. He accused Pete of favoring his son over May Edochie.
The actor also argued that Pete’s comments about the failed marriages of Tonto Dikeh, Ireti Doyle, and Chioma Akpotha are irrelevant because these actresses are successful in their careers despite their past relationship challenges.
Uche added that Pete cleverly chose to cloak his responses in mystifying metaphors and captivating parables when questioned about Yul’s controversial second marriage to Judy Austin.
He wrote;
