Following that, the comedian and his family relocated to the United States, where they have been ever since.
In a recent post, AY opened up about the emotions that welled up inside him upon realizing that the only thing he has now are the clothes and shoes he traveled to vacation with.
On twitter, he complained of his predicament.
Despite his enormous loss, he is certain that he will use his adversity to rebuild his life.
He stated that there is no such thing as starting over, describing how he is confident that God would not disappoint him.
Sharing a video of his old house under construction, he wrote:
“It feels weird to realize that the only clothes, shoes, and jewelry I have right now are the ones I traveled with.
There is no such thing as going back to square one. We shall rebuild our lives as a stepping stone to greatness. God, no go shame us” he wrote.
