- Prominent comedian Alibaba recently took to his social media platform to strongly criticize the Vice President for his behavior during a church event.
- Images capturing the politician’s presence at the religious gathering ignited a fiery response from Alibaba, who accused him of displaying a lack of reverence for the Christian faith.
Renowned Nigerian stand-up comedy icon, the one and only Atunyota Alleluya Akpobome, known to the world as the illustrious Ali Baba, has unleashed a scorching critique aimed squarely at Vice President Kashim Shettima for his perceived disrespect toward the Christian religion.
With the fervor of a maestro, Ali Baba took to his Instagram stage, where he shared a striking collage of photos capturing Shettima during a church gathering, juxtaposed with fellow Muslims deep in prayer.
In these snapshots, the former Borno State Governor was captured wearing a cap while other political elites beside him removed their hats.
In a scathing rebuke directed at Shettima for his refusal to remove his cap inside the church, the comedian, known for his incisive tongue, forcefully emphasized the vital significance of showing reverence for people’s beliefs, age-old traditions, and revered customs when they enter a place considered holy.
He captioned the photo:
“When you enter a place considered holy or sacred by a people, you respect their beliefs, rituals, and observations… thats how it done. “You do it to honour who your hosts are. But then again.”
