‘Burna Boy ahead of Davido, Wizkid currently’ – Odumodublvck lists top 5 buzzing Afrobeats Superstars (VIDEO)

  • Odumodublvck has stirred the pot big time with his latest claim, placing Burnaboy on a pedestal above his heavyweight counterparts, Davido and WizKid.
  • The rapper, in an interview, unveiled his lineup of top Afrobeats superstars who are making waves across the world, and it ignited a real hornet’s nest of reactions.

In a statement as hot as a chili pepper, Nigerian hip-hop sensation Tochukwu Ojogwu, aka Odumodublvck, has dropped a bombshell, affirming that, “based on activity,” Burna Boy is currently leading the pack, leaving Wizkid and Davido in his dust.

Making a guest appearance on London’s 90 podcast, the artist behind ‘Declan Rice’ spilled the beans, boldly declaring that he’d put Burna Boy in the pole position on his list of top Afrobeats artists.

He went on to reveal that Davido would secure the runner-up spot, hot on Burna Boy’s heels, but when it came to Wizkid, he threw a curveball, stating that, “based on activity,” Wizkid doesn’t cut the mustard to make the top 5 as of today.

The rapper laid it down by ranking Tems, Asake, and Rema to round out the top 5 in that precise order. However, he threw a nod to Wizkid, underscoring his legendary status in the industry, ensuring he gets an honorable mention in the mix.

This is coming few weeks after news of Odumodublvck getting signed to American multinational record label, Def Jam Recordings, made the rounds.

Odumodublvck, in viral video, was captured at Def Jam’s corporate office in New York, United States of America, where the signing took place.

The ‘Declan Rice’ crooner, who was given a warm welcome, mentioned how hip-hop legends like 2pac, DMX, and 50 Cent significantly influenced his love of the genre.

The rapper recalled how he absorbed components of 50 Cent’s unique sound into his music style and how conforming to the G-Unit concept gave rise to his robust team that he cherishes greatly.
