Big Brother Naija reality TV star, Princess has dropped her two cents regarding a controversial statement from her co-star, Phyna.

BBNaija Season 7 winner, Josephine Otabor, popularly known as Phyna claimed that all women, with the exception of virgins have committed abortion at least once.

This statement elicited a reaction from Princess, amongst other netizens, who tackled Phyna for her bold assertion.

During an earlier interview with Chude Jideonwo, Phyna admitted that she had two abortions. When she was asked about it, she said no woman has not undergone an abortion.

A follower recently asked her about it again and Phyna insisted that only women who are virgins are “safe hypocrites”.

She said any woman who has had sex has had an abortion. The BBNaija s7 winner added that taking oral contraceptives to prevent pregnancy is the same as getting an abortion.

She cited the consumption of emergency contraceptives such as Postinor or Becharm Ampilox, combined with warm water, as actions that, in her view, amounted to abortion.

Reacting to her controversial statement, Princess told Phyna:

“It’s not by force to agree with you. Carry your cross in peace.”

Despite mixed reactions from the public with majority criticizing her statement, Phyna remains unperturbed.

Recall the controversial statement by the reality TV star led to intense online discussions and debates, with many condemning her for making what they consider to be sweeping an insensitive generalizations about women.

Phyna, however, remains steadfast in her opinion and has taken to social media to defend her statement.

In response to the backlash, she labeled her critics as hypocrites and urged them to stop complaining.
