Daughter of Nigerian billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, reveals the reasons behind her unconventional choice of being a DJ.

The socialite, who is well-known for her energy , loves her job as a DJ and other thrilling pursuits in the entertainment business.

She stated that she made the decision to seek her own success in the entertainment world, despite being the wealthy businessman’s daughter.

Cuppy, adamant on blazing her own trail and following her passionate pursuit of music, she boldly decided to take a different path.

Dj Cuppy added that if she had entered the corporate world, where she would have been suffocating through mountains of paperwork behind desks, she would not have experienced the same delight doing what she loves.

She posted a picture of herself in an office setting, looking like a true business lady and wrote:

On days, like this, I think about how I could have
chased corporate success and had a more
linear path but wouldn’t be as happy”.

As part of her partnership with the airline, DJ Cuppy announced on her Instagram page that her playlists will now be accessible to travelers.

Excited to share that I’ve teamed up with @British_Airways ✈️???? I’m bringing BOOMING BEATS to flyers in the sky. Anyone travelling LONG HAUL can listen to my exclusive playlist, so check it out! ????????,” she wrote.

British Airways announced the agreement on its web page, stating in part:

British Airways is bringing Nigerian-born musician. Cuppy’s Afrobeats to flyers, with an exclusive playlist available onboard from November 1. Londoner, Cuppy, whose DJ skills have taken her to over 30 countries across the globe, has curated her top tracks for the airline’s inflight entertainment system.

To celebrate the increase in the number of flights between Africa and London with the launch of British Airways’ new route from Accra to London Gatwick – in addition to its daily services to London Heathrow -Cuppy has created a playlist that transports travellers to a far-away paradise before their flight has even touched down.”
