In a recent podcast appearance alongside fellow Ghanaians, Nigerian chef Hilda Baci expressed her opinion on the popular Ghanaian dish, jollof rice, claiming that it lacks flavor.

Chef Hilda Baci, known for breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking time, shared her views on Ghanaian jollof during a discussion about a past jollof competition between Nigeria and Ghana.

The chef reminisced about the competition, proudly stating that she emerged victorious, and emphasized her disappointment with the taste of the Ghanaian jollof.

According to Chef Baci, despite being a competition where each participant put forward their best attempt, the Ghanaian jollof she sampled had no discernible flavor.

She asserted that having tasted the dish, she was confident it represented the best effort of her Ghanaian counterpart.

In the podcast, Chef Hilda Baci claimed to have examined Ghanaian jollof recipes and found them to be basic at best, lacking the intricate flavor profiles she values in a well-prepared dish.

She contrasted this with her praise for Nigerian jollof, stating that Nigerians take flavor seriously and do not compromise on the art of flavor building in their culinary creations.

Hilda made a splash at the Guinness World Records’ epicenter, nestled in South Quay Plaza, Canary Wharf, London.

The chef received an exclusive invitation to the headquarters following her Thursday video on platform X, where she casually declared London as her current location.
