Nigerian singer Bad Boy Timz reveals that relying solely on streaming revenue is not enough to sustain a music career.

He made this revelation in a recent interview with Hip TV, emphasizing that stream revenue does not give musicians a big income.

According to Bad boy Timz, a lot of musicians use the money they get from online streaming to promote their songs. He clarified that he earns money by taking frequent trips, advising his colleagues to follow suit.

The singer said:

“As an artiste you cannot depend on music streams because it is not substantial. Most of the earnings from music streams are reinvested on promotion.

“So, what I do is go on tours. I’m always trying to get Visas to tour different countries. I have been touring for over a year now. So I advised my colleagues to make more money from shows and seek sponsorships.”

In 2021, Bad boy timz was arrested in Abuja for allegedly defrauding his record label & show organizers .

The arrest of Nigerian singer, Olorunyomi Oloruntimilehin, popularly known as BadBoyTimz, has been announced.

The singer who rose to prominence with the release of the song “MJ,” was seen in the company of Police officers, with his hands cuffed behind in a video making the rounds online.

According to reports, he was arrested because he allegedly defrauded his record label and show promoters

Controversial Journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, while commenting on the issue, hinted that the singer and his team are fighting.

Her comment reads ;

“When your team becomes your enemy, your music career is over. Nobody will sign you or collaborate with you”
