Fuji legend, K1 De Ultimate has reacted to allegations of mistreatment levelled against him by his former drummer, Kunle Ayanlowo, by releasing a diss track targeting Ayanlowo.
A few days ago, Ayanlowo claimed in an interview that despite working with K1 De Ultimate for 32 years, he hadn’t achieved anything and accused K1 of treating him and his fellow band members poorly, likening it to slavery.
Ayanlowo recounted instances where he alleged that K1 seized their passports upon their return to Nigeria and controlled their activities.
A particularly troubling incident Ayanlowo mentioned was when he claimed K1 prevented him from seeking urgent medical attention. He opened up about having health issues stemming from that incident and warned Nigerians to hold K1 responsible if any harm came to him.
In response, K1 De Ultimate dismissed Ayanlowo’s allegations, asserting that during his 32-year tenure with him, Ayanlowo was never committed to his work.
K1 accused Ayanlowo of prioritizing money and pleasure, which, according to him, hindered Ayanlowo from achieving anything for himself after leaving the band.
