Former big brother naija contestant, Victoria Iye, well known as Vee, has observed that navigating the complexities of modern relationships can be particularly challenging in the city of Lagos.

Vee expressed concerns that the evolution of interpersonal communication has significantly altered the dynamics of dating today.

She also attributes her cautious approach to relationship in Lagos to her deeply emotional nation.

During a discussion on Clout Africa, Vee shared her insights, stating that going through a romantic relationship in Lagos presents unique challenges.

Vee noted that crossover generation of late millennials and early Gen Zs, are experiencing a shift in how they communicate, which inevitably impacts the romantic connections.

She revealed that in order to protect her heart from potential pain, she tends to steer clear of certain situations, noting that her nature is inherently tender and affectionate, and finding the balance between intellect and emotion is a constant struggle for her.

In her words:

The dating scene in Lagos is a bit harder than usual. As late millennials, early Genzs we are going for it right now, human communication is not what it used to be.

“I avoid situations before I get heartbroken. I’m a soft, romantic, lover girl so a bit of a balance between the brain and the mind, that is the constant battle for me.”

In another story, Vee Iye opens up on her views on marriage.

The BBNaija star expressed her belief in the concept of being in a committed relationship but questioned the necessity of tying the knot.

During the interview, Vee admitted that she does not currently see the need for marriage in her life.

The reality TV star also pointed out that her lack of interest in marriage could be influenced by her past experiences.

Vee revealed that she has never been in a relationship where she envisioned a long-term commitment or settling down with her partner.
