Music producer Samklef has confessed his long-held admiration for singer Simi, admitting he never mustered the courage to ask her out.

He revealed that he came close to making a move when she ended a previous relationship with an ex-boyfriend, Lekan, but ultimately decided against it to maintain a professional boundary.

Samklef expressed his affection for Simi on his X handle on Sunday, stating:

“I [love emoji] Simi. I almost asked her out o! When she broke up with her ex, Lekan for experience that year. But I had to keep it professional, make e for no spoil business…Adekunle help me greet your wife for me. Life is not that deep.”

In a subsequent post, Samklef shared a contrasting experience, alleging that Simi’s family treated him poorly despite his contributions to her career. He wrote:

Recall that Samklef had revealed that he discovered Simi, Tunde Ednut, gave Olamide, Wizkid hits.

He revealed that he played a crucial role in discovering and nurturing the talents of several notable artists, including Simi, Ric Hassani, and Tunde Ednut.

Samklef also claimed credit for mentoring Dami Krane and Phenom, helping them hone their skills and find success in the competitive music scene.

In addition to his mentorship roles, Samklef boasted about producing some of Nigeria’s most iconic songs, including hits for Wizkid, Olamide, and DPrince.

He expressed frustration that his humility has led many to overlook his achievements, stating that he has been instrumental in shaping the careers of many artists.
