Nollywood actress Bimpe Akintunde, also know as Wasila Coded has spoken out on being a third wife to her husband in an interview with her colleague, Biola Bayo.

She disclosed that her husband had prior their marriage told her that he had two wives who are based in Nigeria and he promised that they will accept her willingly.

The mother of one who got engaged and married in 2023 stated that she has never met a man like him who is so open and goes for what he wants. She added that her cowives were present at her nikai (introduction).

According to her, her husband who is based in the US said he doesn’t like wasting time which is why when they got talking in May, by June of 2023, he had married her.

Bimpe Akintunde said she had suggested that they meet for the first time in June and hopefully do a wedding introduction in December but he declined and said he wanted her as his wife as soon as possible.

Asked if she is cool with being the third wife, the movie star stated that she has no problem with it. She added that it’s not because she is a Muslim and her religion permits it, but majorly because she believes men are polygamous in nature.

Bimpe Akintunde also said she is cool with her husband being based in the US while she visits him at intervals because it’s not easy being abroad.
