Danielle Edochie, a Nigerian YouTube content creator and the daughter of the separated couple Yul and May Edochie, recently spoke out about her mother’s disapproval of her fashion sense.

The 18-year-old took to her official Instagram page to post a video showcasing her outfit. She was captured wearing an oversized “big boy’s” polo shirt, a stylish bandana was seen wrapped around her head, and she effortlessly rocked baggy jeans, a style she personally finds comfortable and expressive.

In her caption, she highlighted the disapproval from her mother, May Edochie, regarding her tomboyish outfits, reteirated that her mom has repeatedly urged her to refrain from dressing like a boy.

She wrote;

“My mom said I should stop dressing like a boy”

 

During the video, she explored different feminine outfits like gowns and blouses to see if they suited her, but in the end, she realized she’s most at ease in boys’ clothing.

Danielle boldly asserted that she intends to stay true to herself, firmly telling those who disapprove to “take it or leave it”. She made it clear that she won’t compromise her preferences to please others.
