Reality TV star Chioma Goodhair, a cast member of RHOLagos, has shared a surprising secret to her financial success and how she made her first million.
In a recent episode of the Big Friday Show, hosted by BBNaijaâs Tacha, Chioma revealed that her first million naira was earned through hosting events during her university days.
She stated that her entrepreneurial spirit was ignited at the University of Birmingham, where she was known for her friendly and outgoing personality.
She highlighted how she leveraged her popularity to organize parties on campus, convincing hundreds of students, mostly ladies, to buy tickets to attend.
âMy first million naira was probably from throwing events in uni. I went to the University of Birmingham and I didnât even plan to but I was so popular then and I knew a lot of people and I was very friendly. Iâm still a friendly person I donât look it but I am. Iâm also a girls girl and Iâm very good at convincing people to do stuff.â
âSo back then some guys used to organise parties and one guy would be like, âCome and sell tickets to your friends,â and Iâd bring like 100 or 200 girls. So the next year he was like why donât we come together to throw these parties because youâre really good at selling tickets?â
âSo we organised this party and we made so much money and when I convert it, it would have been over a million nairaâŚIt was like six thousand poundsâŚâ
âOh wow, so back then it would have been like eight or nine million,â Tacha asked.
âYes,â Chioma replied.
Chioma Goodhair revealed that her success in event planning and promotion not only earned her a significant income but also helped her develop valuable skills in marketing, communication, and leadership.
