Controversial Afrobeat singers, Seun Kuti, has made a bold claim that women are more likely to be unfaithful in relationships and marriages compared to men.
According to Kuti, the belief that men are the primary cheaters is simply a form of propaganda perpetuated by society.
During his appearance on the ‘Bahd & Boujee’ Podcast, hosted by reality star Tolanibaj and actress Moet Abebe, the singer made his thoughts on infidelity clear.
Contrary to popular belief, Kuti stated that women engage in cheating more frequently than men do.
The podcast hosts expressed their disagreement with his stance, prompting Kuti to elaborate further on his viewpoint.
He argued that throughout history, there have been notable instances of women being unfaithful, such as the biblical story of Joseph and his master’s wife.
Seun Kuti questioned why there are fewer examples of men cheating on their wives mentioned in religious texts, suggesting that both men and women are capable of infidelity.
He urged men to acknowledge that women are equally capable of being unfaithful in relationships, dispelling the notion that only men engage in such behavior.
Seun Kuti advised men who believe their partners are always at home to consider that infidelity could be happening within their own social circles.
He said:
“The society made it seem like it’s only men that cheat. Women cheat more than men.”

Kuti replied: “Okay, this propaganda out there… The truth is that women cheat more than men. Even in the bible, Joseph’s master’s wife tried to cheat on her husband with him and because he refused, she framed him for rape.
“Which man did they write in the bible that he cheated on his wife?
“We [men and women] are all equally bad. Let’s just accept that. And men that are out there thinking that you are the only unfaithful one in your marriage or relationship, you are living in a fantasy.
“If she is not stepping out of the house, you’re sure she is in that compound 24 hours, start looking at everybody in the compound.”
