These clips elicited strong reactions from his fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry, Content creator and Singer, Nasboi, was part of the people who expressed concerns that the beloved movie icon was experiencing a mental breakdown.

In a recent discussion with Lucky Udu, an advocate for the depressed, Hanks Anuku revealed how the unfounded rumors of him being addicted to hard drugs and losing his sanity, sparked by a video of him wandering the streets, profoundly affected his life.

Hanks Anuku revealed that the videos of him wandering the streets were actually of him preparing for a movie role where he played a mad man.

He vehemently criticized those who filmed him without understanding the context, accusing them of irresponsibly spreading false speculations that severely damaged his reputation.

Hanks recounted how his own family, including his twin brother and wife, chose to believe the damaging speculations of drug addiction over his sincere explanations that nothing was wrong with him.

Anuku said their decision to distance themselves plunged him into profound despair and loneliness.

Adding insult to injury, Anuku recounted the distressing experience of being stigmatized by the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), with his colleagues in the movie industry abruptly ceasing communication and job offers.

Now, he finds solace in the gradual return to his former self, slowly but surely regaining his footing in both his personal and professional life.
