- Big Brother Naija reality TV show star, Doyin David has dropped her two cents for single ladies.
- Speaking about marriage and its expectations, Doyin urged ladies to have their own money.
- She gave solid reasons she believes women with no money have no business getting married.
Controversial Big Brother Naija reality star, Doyin, has advised single ladies to prioritise financial independence over love and marriage.
According to her, a woman who doesn’t have money isn’t ready for marriage or having kids.
She claimed that the biggest mistake a woman can make is “depending completely” on a man.
The reality star said she refuses to depend on the benevolence of men, stressing that she wants the protection, power, and security that comes from having her own money.
On her Snapchat page, Doyin wrote:
“The biggest mistake you can make as a young lady is depending completely on a man. Attaining independence should be the first thing on your mind… before love, marriage, or kids. Money first!
“If you don’t have your own money, a reasonable amount of money saved up, you’re NOT ready for marriage and most definitely NOT ready to have kids. You need your own money!!
“With all I refuse humility, I refuse for the quality of my life to be dependent on the benevolence of men. I want the protection, power, and security that comes with having my own money. But like I said in the beginning, that’s just me! To each his own!”
Recall Doyin David recently dished out advice to ladies in relationships on what to expect. Speaking on Snapchat, the dark skinned beauty shared a message she received from one of her followers who asked if it was okay to call her boyfriend stingy.
The lady in question said she called her boyfriend a stingy man for not randomly giving her money except she requests and he broke up with her.
Responding on her account, Doyin cautioned women against feeling obligated towards their partner’s money.
The reality TV star added that until a man marries a woman, it isn’t his responsibility to randomly give his partner money.
