- Ubi Franklin expressed empathy for the parenting difficulties between Davido and his babymama, Sophia.
- He stated that he understands both parties’ challenges and calls for support rather than judgment.
Music executive and father, Ubi Franklin, recently shared his thoughts on the ongoing custody battle between Davido and Sophia Momodu over their daughter, Imade.
As a close associate of Davido and a father himself, Ubi Franklin offered a subtle perspective on the challenges of parenting and custody battle.
In an Instagram post, he emphasized the importance of empathy and understanding.
He acknowledged the difficulties faced by fathers in custody battle, encouraging support and prayers for strength rather than judgment.
He wrote on his story:
“Never judge a pain you have never been through. This fatherhood struggle is not easy, we pray for God’s blessings and strength”.
Sophia Momodu’s Uncle, Dele Momodu had earlier provided clarity on the custody conflict, stating that she never denied the singer access to their child.
In a sensational Instagram post on Saturday, July 6, Momodu spilled the tea, revealing his utter disbelief at Davido’s latest court antics. The Afrobeat icon had brazenly filed an affidavit, claiming he’s been cut off from his daughter, Imade – a move that left Momodu slack-jawed with shock.
Momodu revealed that despite Davido’s claims, the singer and his family have had unrestricted access to Imade. When Davido decided to stop paying for Imade’s school fees, Momodu said he alerted Davido’s father, Deji Adeleke, who not only settled all the school fees but also gifted the child a car.
The politician went on to disclose that the real bone of contention was Sophia and Imade’s accommodation payments.
According to him, Sophia proposed that Davido should cover the full amount while she paid half the rent. However, Davido shot down this proposal, offering to pay only N5 million per year, a figure that fell far short of Sophia’s expectations.
