Femi Otedola gifts viral quadruplet parents N5 million, offers scholarships to their kids

Nigerian billionaire, Femi Otedola, through his foundation (Femi Otedola Foundation FOF), has donated N5 million to the family of Sodiq Olayode, who recently welcomed quadruplets.

This significant contribution comes in the wake of an outpouring of support from Nigerians who collectively raised over N19 million through online donations.

The Olayode family’s journey captured the hearts of many after a colleague, Oyeniran James, shared their struggles on social media.

In July, James identified as @jamysax on the microblogging platform, X (formerly Twitter), shared that his colleague who already has two kids wanted one more but to their surprise, the couple was blessed with quadruplets.

The father had lamented how his quadruplets used 105 diapers in just six days, a revelation that sparked widespread compassion and led to a flood of donations.

On Monday, the Femi Otedola Foundation, known for its charitable initiatives, presented a cheque of N5 million to the Olayode family.

The cheque was handed over by Philip Akinola on behalf of the foundation. Additionally, Femi Otedola has committed to providing scholarships till university level for the two Olayode children.

James took to X (Twitter) to share the news, he wrote:

“Guyssssssssssssssssss, Guess what ???? ‘#realFemiOtedola sent representatives to offer a cheque of N5 million to the parents of the quadruplets and also offered scholarships for the education of two of their kids till University. I’m in tears, guys.’”

This generous donation follows a contribution of N2 million from Airtel Nigeria.
