Veteran actor Chiwetalu Agu pays tribute to colleagues who passed away this year [VIDEO

  • Chiwetalu Agu has remembered his colleagues as well as some popular Nigerians who recently lost their lives.
  • The veteran actor shared a video of himself listing the names of the aforementioned and photos of them.
  • He payed tribute to them, wishing they rest in peace and urged his followers to send their prayers too.

Veteran actor Chiwetalu Agu has paid tribute to his late colleagues and other prominent figures in Nigeria.

The actor took to his verified account on the photo and video sharing platform, Instagram on Thursday, August 29 to share a video in which he honoured the memory of several deceased individuals, offering his prayers for their souls to rest in peace.

In the video, the actor expressed his condolences, saying, “May your soul rest in peace,” as he remembered those who have recently passed away.

He captioned the post:

“Rest in peace to everyone we have lost recently in the entertainment industry. Type RIP in the comment section below.”

Among the personalities Agu mentioned were John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, Zulu Adigwe, Amechi Munagor, Cynthia Okereke, Onyeka Onwenu, Junior Pope, and Herbert Wigwe.

Chiwetalu concluded the tribute by praying for the “faithful departed” in his native dialect.

Recall that in 2022, the 68-year-old narrated how he almost died from a ‘spiritual attack’, attributing his survival to ‘God’.

Hours ago, Nollywood was again thrown into mourning following the passing of one of their own.

Filmmaker and actor, Yusuf Olorungbebe was said to have died after a brief illness.

Prior his death, actress Foluke Daramola asked for financial support from Nigerians to help Yusuf Olorungbebe when he was placed life support.

The sad news of his passing was confirmed by Foluke Daramola on Wednesday, August 28 on her Instagram page.
