Air Peace speaks out on fraud charges against CEO in U.S

Air Peace has issued a statement addressing the recent fraud charges filed by the U.S. Department of Justice against its Chief Executive Officer, Allen Onyema, and Chief of Finance/Administration, Mrs. Ejiro Eghagha.

The airline acknowledged the concerns raised by the public and emphasized that the case is currently under judicial consideration.

In the statement released on Sunday, Air Peace clarified that the charges are part of a protracted legal process linked to earlier allegations of financial misconduct that date back several years.

The airline highlighted that, while the charges have been expanded, they are still mere allegations, and the matter remains in court.

“Our legal team is fully engaged with the matter and is working tirelessly to ensure that justice prevails.” the statement read in part.

Air Peace expressed confidence that, through the legal process, the truth would come to light, leading to the exoneration of both Onyema and Eghagha.

Furthermore, the airline noted that Onyema and his legal team have consistently cooperated with authorities throughout the proceedings.

Air Peace reassured its customers and stakeholders that operations would continue without interruption, maintaining its commitment to providing reliable services.

“We want to assure the public that these legal proceedings will not affect the safety, reliability, or daily operations of Air Peace,” the statement concluded.
