Nigerian social media provocateur Martins Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan, has ignited the internet with his bold response to the police invitation he received recently, a move that has set social media abuzz.
Just days ago, the Nigeria Police Force released a statement publicly denouncing the outspoken critic for flaunting their official uniform without permission.
VDM, in viral clip, was seen sporting a police outfit while branding himself as CSP VeryDarkMan, declared himself Nigeria’s “number one online police officer.”
In a dramatic reveal on his official Facebook page, VDM posted a striking video of himself decked out in a sharp, carton-coloured matching suit that radiated charisma and flair.
As he confidently made his way to the Federal Capital Territory police station to honor the invitation, he didn’t hold back on his usual bravado.
In the video, he was captured on a pedestrian lane, exuding an air of unshakeable confidence, casually waiting for his lawyer to join him.
Captioning his video post, he wrote;
“I’m on my way to Police station to clear my name”

In a statement released on Saturday, October 26, police spokesperson Muyiwa Adejobi confirmed that the Nigeria Police Force launched an investigation to determine the source of the police gear used by VeryDarkMan.
Adejobi emphasized that the Force disassociates itself from the unauthorized portrayal of the uniform depicted in the controversial video.
While acknowledging the creativity and talent of young Nigerians in the realm of content creation, the police made it clear that they vehemently oppose the misuse of police uniforms and symbols.
They underscored that such unauthorized use not only undermines the values and integrity of the Force but also poses a serious threat to the respect associated with law enforcement.
