Reality television personality Leo DaSilva has voiced his concerns regarding the use of terms such as “daddy,” “spiritual father,” and similar labels when addressing pastors.

In a message shared on his X Platform, he noted that referring to pastors in this manner is a red flag.

He mentioned that using expressions like “My Daddy,” “My Spiritual Daddy,” and “my father in the Lord” as titles for pastors calls for concerns.

He wrote:

My Daddy, ‘My Spiritual Daddy,’ ‘my father in the Lord’s to describe your pastor is a red flag.”

In a follow-up tweet,Leo DaSilva clarified that his two years spent in theological study were not pursued with the intention of becoming a pastor, but rather to gain a deeper insight into the scriptures.

He underscored that a genuine love for God should inspire people to independently seek knowledge about their faith, comparing it to the notion of loving someone without having a true understanding of who they are.

“I went to theology school for 2 years, not because I want to become a pastor but to understand the word of God even more.
If you claim to love God, you will try to learn about God yourself.
It’s like saying you love someone you don’t even know.
Don’t be a sheep to everything” he stated.

Recall that Dasilva got commissioned to be a pastor few months ago

The reality TV star made the announcement on his social media accounts to the surprise of his followers.

Leo can be seen donning a preacher’s robe in a sequence of photographs released on Twitter and Instagram accounts, surrounded by fellow believers and the senior pastor in the middle.

This action indicates that he has been granted official license to preach the word of God.
