- Yul Edochie lambasts people offering unsolicited marital advice to him.
- He fumed and hurled derogatory remarks at critics advising him to keep his marriage off social media.
Nigerian actor, Yul Edochie recently took to Instagram to address critics advising him to keep his marriage off social media.
In his post, Edochie directly called out individuals who, despite keeping their own marriages private, still face marital challenges.
He sarcastically noted that hiding a marriage doesn’t guarantee success, implying that divorce and separation can still occur regardless of social media exposure.
Edochie criticized what he saw as hypocritical social media advisers who, despite their own personal struggles, feel compelled to offer unsolicited advice on other people’s lives.
He questioned why anyone would be bothered by how often he posts about his wife, suggesting that such critics are irrational, or, as he put it, “idiots.”
For him, the real irony lies in the fact that society only praises someone after they’re gone, gathering at funerals to pay respects, while failing to celebrate their achievements when they’re alive.
In a blunt finish, Edochie added that anyone who is offended by his posts should feel free to “hug a transformer”.
In his words:
“Ndi ‘keep your marriage off social media’ kwenu!
Ndi ala.
You wey hide your marriage inside house you no still divorce?
Your wife no leave you?
Psycos.
Everybody na adviser for social media.
Your own life go dey scatter, you no fit fix am.
But you sabi advise other people.
If I post my wife one million times on my page how e take concern you?
Na you buy me data abi na your wife I post?
Idiots.”
“The one wey dey sweet una na to wear black gather for person burial. One minute silence. The person go turn to hero. But when that person is alive, being happy, his happiness go dey pain una. Thunder fire you. If my post dey offend you, hug transformer.”
