- Ayo Jaguda took to Twitter to assert that Dapper music did nothing wrong to Shallipopi
- He explained that Dapper invested millions in their promotion and is looking to recover that investment.
Ayo, a prominent Nigerian music blogger and founder of Jaguda, has shared his view on the ongoing controversy surrounding Shallipopi and Dapper Music, led by Damilola Akinwunmi.
The label’s relationship with two of its signed artists has been under scrutiny, generating interest in the inner workings of the music industry.
Ayo in reaction, expressed his thoughts on the matter via Twitter, suggesting that Dapper Music’s actions should be viewed as a standard business practice rather than a wrongdoing.
He highlighted the significant investments the label made in promoting its artists, which would naturally be expected to generate a return.
Ayo wrote:
“This whole thing is making it seem like dapper did something wrong while it’s just business , dem run farm for una , shoot 60m videos that was probably giving like 10m views lol . He spent money and has to recoup.”
