Jerry Amilo, Nollywood veteran, has taken to social media to emphatically shut down speculations and assumptions surrounding his recent explosive comments on infidelity.

Earlier, WITHIN NIGERIA reported how the Nigerian actor stirred the internet with a controversial post addressing women who leave their marriages because of cheating.

In his viral video, Jerry called out a particular Nigerian woman who, despite walking away from her husband of 18 years over infidelity, ended up engaging in extramarital affairs herself—with married men.

The actor’s remarks sparked a firestorm online, with many speculating that his comments were targeted at May Edochie. May, a mother of three, famously separated from her husband, actor Yul Edochie, after he cheated on her with actress Judy Austin during their nearly two-decade-long marriage.

However, in a fiery new video, Jerry Amilo has denied any connection between his statement and the Edochies, slamming fans and social media users for their constant habit of creating drama where none exists.

The actor blasted what he described as a toxic culture of linking general comments to specific individuals, accusing fans of deliberately fueling chaos and rifts among celebrities for entertainment.

Jerry Amilo further called for introspection and responsibility, urged fans to stop sensationalizing issues that are meant to provoke thought, not drama.

He didn’t stop there. Jerry doubled down on his earlier stance, maintaining that cheating should not automatically warrant the dissolution of a marriage. According to him, women who leave their homes due to infidelity often end up worse off, making decisions they later regret.
