Solomon Buchi, a Nigerian influencer and life coach, has expressed his thoughts on the challenges faced by talented individuals in Nigeria.

Buchi’s comments came in response to a statement from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) regarding a suspect accused of internet fraud.

Buchi emphasized that Nigeria’s environment can be stifling for people with dreams and abilities.

He used Mark Zuckerberg as example, stating that if the owner of Facebook were Nigerian, he might have faced obstacles from authorities, such as the EFCC, which could have hindered his ability to develop Facebook.

He wrote:

“If Mark Zuckerberg was Nigerian, EFCC would have raided his dorm where he started Facebook and accuse him of internet fraud because he had laptops and was caught coding.Cultural fashion

Nigeria is a hell for talents.”

The singer, who shared his thoughts on social media on January 20, 2025, revealed his lack of sympathy due to a traumatic encounter he and his family had with the EFCC in 2023.

In a series of posts on X, he shared that the death of an officer in the hands of a citizen was coming, due to the commission’s manner of operation. He wrote:

“It’s quite unfortunate that someone lost his life but they had it coming imagine the trauma I and my family still face till now.”

“That organization need to be scraped out or reformed but we all know there’s no such thing as reform in this country…I use to rate them but till I found out they use that organization to abuse power and extort young people of money.”

“I should be feeling bad but I actually don’t they had it coming .., imagine that day I didnt keep my cool they would have probably switched the story just like they tried to do and shot me or something … I will never forgive them … they had it coming.”
