Organisers of The Headies, Nigeria’s most prestigious music award show, has set the industry ablaze with the release of its highly anticipated 17th edition nominations.
Leading the charge is the genre-bending maverick, Tochukwu Ojogwu, aka Odumodublvck, who dominates the nominations with an impressive five nods.
Hot on his heels are the ever-dynamic Ayra Starr and street-hop sensation Shallipopi, each securing three nominations.
Odumodublvck’s versatility shines through as he clinches two nominations in the fiercely contested Best Collaboration category, going head-to-head with industry giants like Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Zlatan, Asa, and Chike.
A particularly emotional highlight of the list is the late Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad, whose legacy refuses to fade. Despite his tragic passing on September 12, 2023, his music continues to resonate, earning him three nominations.
