Legendary Fuji icon Ayinla Kollington, popularly known as The General, has finally addressed the long-standing rumors surrounding an alleged locked-room incident with his late colleague, Sikiru Ayinde Barrister.

Speaking with veteran broadcaster Dele Adeyanju on Agbaletu, he revealed that the claims were nothing but fabrications, called on King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, KWAM 1, as the one fuji singer who could testify to the truth.

According to him, the moment in question happened after the painful loss of his mother. He disclosed that KWAM 1, playing the role of mediator, urged him to invite Barrister to the funeral party, despite the tension between them at that time, insisted it was the honorable thing to do, since Kollington had also attended Barrister’s mother’s funeral.

He further revealed that KWAM 1 personally brought Barrister to his home, where the gathering of Fuji musicians for his mum’s funeral took place.

Addressing speculations that they were locked in a room, he stated that KWAM 1, whom he called his witness, had actually asked their junior colleagues to step aside so he and Barrister could have a private discussion.

Kollington reteirated that no doors were locked, no insults were exchanged behind walls, said he and Barrister settled their differences under the open sky, beneath a tree in his garden, not in any closed room as speculated.

Seething at the falsehoods, Kollington did not just dismiss them, he condemned them. He laid a curse on those who peddled the lies, averred that he would not allow his name and that of his late friend to be tainted by false claims.
