Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, is receiving widespread praise online following a viral video that captured a respectful exchange between him and Abia State Governor, Alex Otti.
The video, which surfaced on social media on Wednesday, shows the moment Davido, 32, paused just as he was about to enter his luxury 2023 Virgil Abloh Maybach, upon noticing Governor Otti and his entourage nearby.
In a gesture that many Nigerians have lauded as exemplary, Davido promptly removed his cap and respectfully bent to greet the governor, following traditional customs of showing respect to elders.
The music star’s humility and cultural upbringing struck a chord with fans across social media, with many applauding his grounded nature despite his global fame and wealth.
