Controversial singer Portable has lashed out at skit maker and content creator Carter Efe after the latter publicly criticised him for demanding a staggering ₦10 million to appear on a TikTok live stream.
According to reports, Carter Efe had initially reached out to Portable, pleading with the singer to grace one of his live sessions. However, their budding friendship quickly hit the rocks after Portable insisted on a ₦10 million fee for the appearance.
Reacting to the demand, Carter Efe mocked the singer, expressing disbelief at the hefty sum.
“How much we dey make for the live stream? I just tire,” Carter lamented.
In a fiery video response, Portable aimed at Carter, accusing him of attempting to exploit him in the same way he allegedly exploited his former signee, Young Duu.
The “Zazu” crooner didn’t hold back, calling Carter a “thief” and claiming that Carter had failed to provide for Young Duu after relocating him to Lekki.
“Thief, you ripped my boy. You carry am go Lekki, you no give am food chop, buy am car, or clothes. You wan use me? Bring money first!” Portable said angrily.
He further added that Young Duu wouldn’t be struggling now if he had listened to his advice about charging for appearances.
“Na Young Duu no get sense, now dem don use am. I dey tell am that time, when they call you, ask for money,” he said.
This feud evokes memories of the fallout between Carter Efe and Young Duu, who parted ways after a brief collaboration. Their relationship reportedly soured over allegations that Carter’s label exploited the young artist.
