Burna Boy surprises England Women’s coach Sarina Wiegman on stage (VIDEO)

England Women’s head coach Sarina Wiegman was left visibly stunned when Burna Boy, her favourite artist, made a surprise stage appearance during the Lionesses’ victory parade on July 29, 2025, in London.

The event, held to celebrate England’s historic UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 win, featured an open-top bus procession down The Mall and culminated in a ceremony at Buckingham Palace.

The celebration, hosted by former Lioness Alex Scott, included music, speeches, trophy presentations, and special performances by both Heather Small (who performed “Proud”) and Burna Boy.

Scott introduced the Nigerian Afro-fusion star, Wiegman’s reaction was priceless. She gasped, threw her hands up, ran over to Burna Boy, and embraced him before joining him on stage.

As Burna Boy began performing “For My Hand” — a song she had previously declared her most-streamed track — she danced, sang, and shared joyous moments with the players surrounding her. The scene captured genuine emotion: a manager celebrating with her team and favourite artist in front of thousands of fans .

The parade was attended by an estimated 65,000 fans, with many cheering along The Mall from Admiralty House to the Victoria Memorial in front of Buckingham Palace .

Players including Leah Williamson, Chloe Kelly, Lucy Bronze, and Hannah Hampton shared emotional moments on stage—Kelly even received praise for scoring the winning penalty against Spain in the final .
