Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola has hilariously responded to singer Adekunle Gold’s playful comparison between her and Big Brother Naija housemate Imisi.
Adekunle Gold, in a lighthearted post on X (formerly Twitter), likened the outspoken actress to the equally fiery BBNaija contestant after Imisi’s dramatic clash with fellow housemate Rooboy.
He wrote:
“Imisi na Wumi Toriola. Awon weyre meji.”
Reacting with humour, Wumi claimed she had turned over a new leaf, now embracing a softer, gentler personality. She replied:
“Big fish 🐟 I don repent fah… Since the beginning of this year. Na gentle lady I be 🫣🫣🫣🫣.”

The comparison stems from Imisi’s recent heated exchange in the BBNaija house, where she refused to wash a pot, insulted Rooboy in Yoruba, and boldly reminded him of her Ebute Meta roots. She insisted that she would not tolerate any form of disrespect.

The incident went viral, prompting Adekunle Gold’s cheeky remark and Wumi’s equally witty comeback.
Fans quickly flooded the comments with banter:
@folayomi2020: “No body craze reach you for Yoruba Nollywood. No competition gbagbe.”
@Kareemah_17: “Wunmi go change? I fit bend.”
@tech_mommie: “We no believe you ni. This year never end, you can still change before the year runs out.”
@olasunkanmi0077: “You and gentle for movie be like heaven and earth ooo.”
@mz_habbie: “Them still go cast you for ogba role because them know say you be real ogba.”
While fans doubt Wumi’s claim of being “gentle,” they clearly enjoyed the playful back-and-forth between the actress and the music star. See screenshot of the tweet below:
