By now you’ve heard the news Deion Sanders is leaving his post at Jackson State to become head coach at Colorado University. The decision for Sanders was forecasted in a recent 60 Minutes interview. Deion proclaimed if a Power 5 job came calling he would “have to entertain it”. In the aftermath of his announcement social media is left split on his decision. One person who came to Deion’s defense was long-time friend Shannon Sharpe.

Shannon’s comments were immediately met with backlash and he has been fighting it since.

At this point Shannon Sharpe isn’t beating the allegations no matter how many Tweets he responds to. Sharpe even took his argument to his FOX show UNDISPUTED on FS1 and continued to defend his point of view.

Three days after his comments and Deion’s announcement Sharpe is still on social media defending his claims.

Shannon’s says his comments about not choosing an HBCU first shouldn’t be a slight. HBCU alumni and current students clearly took offense to the statement. The age old argument has always been HBCU’s should be seen the same as other schools.

After five days of defending the comments Mr. Sharpe isn’t slowing down and STILL responding to anyone taking issues with the comments.
