Nigerian filmmaker, Austin Faani, has knocked Big Brother Titans organizers for not holding off show until Nigeria’s general elections is over.
He tackled the organizers of the show and its host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, for starting the reality show few weeks to the presidential election.
Austin, who is married to popular actress, Chacha Eke-Faani, berated the organizers for distracting Nigerians with the drama and buzz that trails the show when the presidential election is coming up soon.
Recall that BBTitans, which features both Nigerian and South African housemates, began on Sunday and is already topping the trend tables on Twitter and other social media platforms.
Reacting to this, Faani said the organizers should have waited till after the election in order not to draw people’s attention away. He wrote on Thursday, January 19:
“Someday, not soon maybe, Ebuka and BBN will explain to Nigerians why they couldn’t wait for just a month as to not distract the Nigerian masses especially the southern Nigeria that engages more in their awesome show from the coming election.
Just someday, there will be this dialogue, and I hope their reasons make sense and adds positive impact to what everyone in Nigeria is after at the moment.
Get your PVC guys.
I hear people say, vote wisely, vote with your conscience and all sorts.
If you can’t use any of the above traits to vote, simply vote for Peter Obi and Datti Yusuf.
Thumb print where you see a family picture.”
